Notice of Non-Insurance Participation
Hitchcock Family Medicine operates outside of the traditional insurance system. We do not bill or accept payment from insurance companies, including Medicare or Medicaid. All services provided in our office are offered on a direct-pay basis. This means:
- You pay us directly at the time of service or through your monthly membership.
- You may still use your insurance for services outside our office (such as specialist visits, hospitalizations, or imaging at facilities that accept insurance).
- For many patients, keeping a high-deductible insurance plan for emergencies while using our practice for everyday care is the most cost-effective option.
Medicare Opt-Out Status
Our physicians have formally opted out of Medicare. If you are a Medicare beneficiary, you may still join our practice, but you will need to sign a private contract agreement at the time of enrollment.
- This agreement is required by Medicare regulations and confirms that neither you nor your physician will submit claims to Medicare for services provided by Hitchcock Family Medicine.
- You may still use Medicare benefits for services received outside of our practice, such as hospital care, specialist visits, or labs/imaging at facilities that accept Medicare.
